Grief Support

Losing a loved one is devastating. Whether you anticipated their passing, or their death came as a complete shock, the loss can be difficult to accept. You may experience physical changes (i.e. loss of appetite, change in sleep patterns, etc.), in addition to emotional turmoil. Some people experience an increase in crying, while others can't seem to find their tears. It is important to remember that there is no right or wrong way to grieve.

The healing process of grief is unique to each one of us and there is no set timeline to the adjustment of living without your loved one. It is important to be gracious with yourself in your grief. Take time for yourself, if that is what you need. Conversely, if you need support from someone else, do not hesitate to ask for it.

Coping with the loss of a loved one can be overwhelming. In order to support you through your loss, Johnson-Walton Funeral Home offers access to grief resources as part of our Aftercare Services.
