Jeanne L. Stauffer-Rowan, 96, of Bridgeton Township, Upper Black Eddy, PA, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at her home.

Born March 23, 1926 in Chalfont, PA, Jeanne lived in Lansdale, PA most of her adult life before moving to Upper Black Eddy, PA in 1988. At the age of 16, she served as a Cadet Nurse during World War II, while in nursing school in Philadelphia. Jeanne worked for Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp. in Lansdale, PA for 20 years. She was a longtime member of the Road Angels Hot Rod Club in Doylestown, PA and a prior member of Cedar Hollow Timing Association. Jeanne was very active in the United Church of Christ rummage sale for many years. She was known for her amazing memory and sense of direction. Jeanne was a fan of “affirmative slogans” and loved spreading positive energy wherever she went. Jeanne was very connected to the Upper Black Eddy community and enjoyed helping at the Upper Black Eddy Fire Company breakfasts and other events. Most of all, Jeanne was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be missed by all those who knew her.

Daughter of the late George H. and Sussannah (Frankenfield) Wilson Jeanne is survived by her two sons William “Reds” Stauffer and his wife Debra and Stanley W. Stauffer and his wife Jenn, her daughter Constance Susan Leinhart and her husband August, her two sisters Lois Bloom and Shirlee Nicolino, her five grandchildren Willie, Joey, James, Jon, and Tim, and her six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband William J. Stauffer in 1979, her second husband James Rowan in 1994, and her grandson Joseph Stauffer.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 9-9:30 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 9:30 AM, with Reverend Eugene Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Black Eddy Fire Company, PO Box 171, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972.
