Carolyn Fortugno

Carolyn Fortugno, 70, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 15, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY, Carolyn grew up in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn and lived in Green Brook, NJ before moving to Holland Township, NJ in 1992. She worked as a cafeteria assistant at Delaware Valley Regional High School for many years, until her retirement in January 2019. Prior to that, Carolyn was a department manager at EBASCO, an Engineering firm in New York City. Carolyn was a Girl Scout Leader in Holland Township, at one time. She was known for bringing people together, she loved hosting family and friends in the summertime and during holidays.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Daughter of the late Harold and Caroline (Bullis) Edwards, Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Joseph S. Fortugno, Sr., her two daughters Michelle Millard and her husband Drew and Tracey Himmelreich and her husband Kyle, her son Joseph S. Fortugno, II, her sister-in-law Carol Edwards, and her two grandchildren Emily and Aaron. She was predeceased by her brother William Edwards.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 6-9 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Linda Bullock officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, Development Office, 3551 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
