Joseph J. Hrinyak

Joseph J. Hrinyak, 70, Kingwood Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at his home.

Born December 5, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY, Joseph also lived in Arizona before settling in Kingwood Township, NJ, in 1979. He was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and also attended City College of New York. Joseph worked as an Operating Engineer for Citi Corps. Center and Trizec Hahn Properties, before retiring from Brookfield Properties in Manhattan, NY. In his younger years, Joseph enjoyed cycling and would participate in weekend bicycling trips with the American Youth Hostels (AYH). He belonged to several bowling leagues, including Frenchtown, Manville, as well as a traveling league. Joseph was an avid golfer and an active member of Oak Hill Golf Club. He enjoyed photography and vacationing in Mexico. Most of all, Joseph loved cooking, especially in the summer, with his beloved family.

Son of the late Michael and Veronica (Petrilak) Hrinyak, Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Julie (Bedrin) Hrinyak, his son Matthew Hrinyak and his wife Amy of Chalfont, PA, his daughters Amy Kucharski of Holland Township, NJ, and Veronica Hrinyak and her significant other Mike Hallahan of High Bridge, NJ, his brother Michael Hrinyak and his wife Lucia of York, PA, and his two grandchildren, Owen and Paige.

A private graveside service will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
