Albert J. Kinney, 91, of Easton, PA, passed away on Monday May 23, 2011 at Manor Care Health Services in Palmer Twp., PA.
Born February 17, 1920 in Milford, NJ., Albert lived most of his life in Milford before moving to Easton, PA in 1993 with his wife, the late Mary E. (Sames) Kinney. Albert served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WW II, and was a member of the United Church of Christ in Milford. He worked for the Riegel Paper Corp. in Milford for 20 years and at the Keystone Packaging Company in Phillipsburg for 10 years before becoming the owner of Harrower House of Arts and Crafts in Milford retiring in 1982. Albert was an avid golfer and a member of the Spicy Seniors Bowling League at Frenchtown Lanes in Frenchtown, NJ. , he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Son the of late Lillian (Balliet) and Albert F. Kinney he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Kinney of Upper Black Eddy, PA. and John Kinney of Walnutport, PA., three daughters, Lillian Higginbotham of Easton, PA., Patricia Voorhees of Villas, NJ and Mary Sue Freeman also of Easton, PA. , twelve
grandchildren, fourteen great- grandchildren and one great- great grandson. He was predeceased by his brother George C. Kinney.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday June 11, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the United Church of Christ, 48 Church St. Milford, NJ.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Christ, 48 Church St. Milford, NJ for the benefit of their music department. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home 24 Church road. Holland Township, NJ.
