Anita June Hurst, 56, of Dover, NJ, formerly of Frenchtown, NJ, passed away on Thursday August 30, 2012 at the Dwelling Place in Dover, NJ.

Born April 7, 1956 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Anita lived in Frenchtown, NJ for many years and was a long time resident of the McNamara House in Sergeantsville, NJ. She was as a graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School. Anita had worked at Wendys and at Shoprite, both in Flemington, NJ. She enjoyed traveling, bowling and country dancing. She was a cross country skier and had competed in the Special Olympics. She loved her pet rabbit, Fonzi.

Daughter of the late Albert and Edith Opdyke Hurst, Anita is survived by her loving sister, Diane Taylor and her husband John of Upper Black Eddy, PA, two aunts, one uncle, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as her special friend Margaret. She was predeceased by her brother, Carl Templeton.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday September 4, 2012 at 12 noon at the Rosemont Cemetery, County Rt. 519, Delaware Township, NJ. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, from 10:30 -11:30 AM, prior to the graveside service, at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ.
