Anna (D’Alessio) Mazur, known affectionately as Ann, 82, of Alexandria Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Morristown Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on May 22, 1942, in Long Island City, NY, Ann grew up in Astoria, Queens, before moving to Metuchen, NJ, and ultimately to Alexandria Township in 1978. A graduate of Edison High School, Ann was a lifelong homemaker, caretaker, mother, and best friend. Her home was always open to anyone and everyone, including animals. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone who touched her life feel important, special, and loved.

An avid reader, Ann formed lifelong friendships with many wonderful people she met on the Book Mobile of Hunterdon County. She was also a dedicated gardener, taking pride in her vegetable and flower gardens and known for her talent in canning from her own harvests.

Ann was a talented cook, especially famous for her delicious pies. Above all, she treasured the moments spent with her family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

She was the daughter of the late John and Lena (Laterza) D’Alessio and was recently predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, George Mazur, on October 13, 2024, as well as her brother Angelo D’Alessio. Ann is survived by her two sons, George Mazur and his partner MaryJo, and Michael Mazur and his wife Kimberlee; her daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Kusior and her husband Steve; four grandchildren, Stephen, Christine, Cassandra, and Lawrence; and three great-grandchildren, Levi, Annabel, and Eloise.

A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be held in 2025 at her home in Alexandria Township, with details to follow. Arrangements are under the care of Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
