Anthony R. TonyCalamito, Jr., 58, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on Tuesday November 27, 2012.

Born July 25, 1954 in Montclair, NJ, Tony grew up in West Caldwell, NJ and lived in Holland Township since 1992. He was a graduate of the N.J. State Police Academy in Sea Girt, NJ. He was a police officer with the West Caldwell Police Dept. for ten years then a detective with the Morris County Prosecutor's Office in Morristown for eleven years. He retired from law enforcement as a sergeant in 2003. Tony was also the owner of Calamito Contracting Cleaning Services Co., which was founded by his father. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. Tony was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Tony was a proud member of the West Caldwell Vol. Fire Co. for many years and a dedicated member of the Farmer Sportsman Club in Holland Township.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Elizabeth MarcyApostolik Calamito, his mother Josephine Palmese Calamito of West Orange, NJ, his children Anthony Calamito III of Virginia, Courtney Calamito of Annandale, NJ and Matthew Calamito of Virginia, brother Sam Calamito, sisters Jody Alex, Wendy Dougherty and Bonney Berthold and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Anthony R. Calamito, Sr..

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 1, 2012 at 12 noon at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will also be Saturday, from 10 AM until 12 noon, prior to the service at the funeral home.
