Arthur David Strain, Jr., 81, of Holland Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Born on September 17, 1944, Arthur grew up in the Califon, New Jersey area and carried with him throughout his life the values of hard work, honesty, and dedication. He devoted 47 years of his career as an autobody technician with Jerry's Auto Body in Lebanon, New Jersey, where his skill, craftsmanship, and strong work ethic earned him the respect of coworkers, customers, and friends alike.

Arthur was a lifelong automobile enthusiast whose passion extended far beyond his profession. He loved working on cars, restoring and maintaining them with care and precision, and enjoyed attending car shows where he could admire classic vehicles and share stories with fellow enthusiasts. Whether under the hood of a car or lending a helping hand to a friend, Arthur took pride in a job well done.

Known for his integrity, dependability, and quiet strength, Arthur was a man who believed in doing things the right way. He was well loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, wisdom, and steadfast character left a lasting impression on family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

Arthur's legacy is one of dedication, honesty, and genuine care for others. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Son of late Arthur D. Strain, Sr. and Naomi (Ader) Strain, in addition to his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his two brothers David Strain and Richard Strain and his sister Barbara Cronce.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10 AM at the Lower Valley Union Cemetery in Califon, NJ, with Reverend William “Tex” Culton officiating.
