Austin W. Race, 67, of Upper Black Eddy, Nockamixon Township, PA passed away on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township, PA.

Born February 6, 1946 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Austin grew up on his family's farm in Kingwood Township, NJ. He lived in Flemington, NJ before moving to Upper Black Eddy, PA in 1986. Austin graduated from North Hunterdon High School. He worked as a plant engineer with a Gold Seal at Johanna Farms in Flemington, NJ for many years, then at Lehigh Valley Dairys before retiring in 2006.
Austin was a well liked, multi-talented man. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He enjoyed flying radio-controlled airplanes, woodworking and gardening.

Son of the late George Austin and Florence Templeton Fleming, Austin is survived by his beloved wife of twenty seven years, Lillian (Kluber) Race, three sons Donald Race of Whitehouse, NJ, Daniel Race of Mt. Pocono, PA and Darin Race of Phillipsburg, NJ, stepsons Tracy McHenry and his wife Karen of Milford, NJ and Timothy McHenry of Upper Black Eddy, PA, stepdaughter Melissa McHenry of Frenchtown, NJ, sister Barbara Race of Lancaster, PA and his eight cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his two Scotties, Tavish and Timmy.

Services will be private, under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ.
