Barbara Ann Marie Wieder, 86, of Milford, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 3, 1939, in Upper Black Eddy, PA, Barbara grew up there before settling in Milford, NJ, where she made her home for the past 58 years. She was a graduate of Palisades High School and went on to lead a life devoted to her family, faith, and community.

As a young woman, Barbara worked as a bank teller at the Milford National Bank and later at Thorpe’s Country Corner in Milford. She also served as Treasurer of the Milford Union Cemetery for 25 years. In addition to her professional roles, Barbara was a devoted homemaker and lifelong caregiver. Her compassion and generosity touched the lives of her children, grandchildren, and parents, all of whom she cared for with deep love and unwavering dedication.

Barbara was a longtime member of St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church in Milford, NJ, where she served faithfully, including as a past president of the church's Rosary Altar Society. Her Catholic faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

She loved walking through town, greeting friends and neighbors, and was known for her warm smile and kind heart. Family was at the center of Barbara’s life—she was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and dear friend to many.

Barbara will be remembered for her selflessness, strength, and the deep love she showed to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

Daughter of the late Thomas and Anna (Moule) Agnew, Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Alvin L. Wieder, her daughter Mary Beth Wieder and her husband Bernie, her son Thomas A. Wieder and his wife Maria, and her two grandchildren Ryan and Nickolas.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Monday, June 23, 2025 from 6-8 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. The funeral will begin on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 9 AM, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church, 61 Mill Street, Milford, NJ, with Father Bede Kim officiating. Interment will follow at the Milford Union Cemetery in Milford, NJ.
