Bernice Connors Obituary

Bernice "Bea" Connors passed away at home, June 15, 2012, at the age of 82. Born in Manville, NJ to her late parents, Adam and Sophie Suhaka, Bea moved with her family to Pittstown in 1965. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Harold T.Connors, in September 1985 and her oldest son Thomas in January 2012. She was also pre-deceased by her 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Bea graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1949 and was employed by Granetz Furniture in Somerville for over 25 years. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Butcher Block Factory Outlet in Flemington.

Bea was a devout member of her church, Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church in Baptistown, NJ, as a member of the Altar Rosary Society, serving, at different times, as President, Vice President and Treasurer. She also managed ads for the church bulletin.
Bea was a chairperson for the Hunterdon County chapter of the American Heart Association from 1975 to 1981. An avid bowler, Bea was a member of WIBC. Bowling was one of Bea's passions in life. She was a loving and caring person and will be missed by all who knew her.

Bea is survived by her sons, Steven J. and Harold J. and his wife Kathleen, all of Pittstown; daughter-in-law Ruthie Connors of South Plainfield and her cherished grandchildren, Aidan, Alex, Cyle and Thomas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 19, at Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, Route 519, Baptistown, NJ. Interment will follow in St Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ. Visitation will also be held from 9 to10 AM on Wednesday at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ.
