Candy Ann Enste Obituary
Candy Ann Enste, 65, of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
Born on July 7, 1961, in Flemington, New Jersey, Candy devoted her life to caring for and encouraging others. As a teacher with the Alpha School District, she made a lasting impact on countless students, loving each one as if they were her own. Her classroom was more than a place of learning—it was a place where children felt valued, supported, and inspired.
Outside of her career, Candy embraced every opportunity to create memories with those she loved. She looked forward to girls' weekends at Keith's sister's house, where laughter, relaxation, and a drink or two were always on the agenda. She cherished camping adventures, family trips to the pool, and the many sister get-togethers spent baking together. Candy was often the one bringing everyone together, planning family gatherings that became treasured traditions and creating moments her loved ones will forever hold close.
A creative and talented crafter, Candy enjoyed designing personalized shirts with her Cricut, always finding joy in making something special for family and friends. She was an enthusiastic fan of the New York Giants, rarely missed watching WWE, and loved spending weekends following NASCAR races, especially cheering on Dale Earnhardt Jr. She also had a special fondness for pigs, whose playful charm always brought a smile to her face.
More than anything, Candy will be remembered for her generous heart, her infectious sense of humor, and her unwavering love for her family, friends, and students. Her kindness, creativity, and ability to make everyone feel welcome left an unforgettable mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Anderson) Lovering, Candy is survived by her beloved husband Keith R. Enste, her two brothers Rodney Lovering and his wife Kathy of Milford, NJ and Randy Lovering of Phillipsburg, NJ, and her four sisters Patti Miller of Easton, PA, Martha Moore of Saylorsburg, PA, Tanya Vreeland and her husband Dave of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Barbara McMullen and her husband Gary of Nazareth, PA. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM, at the funeral home, with Rev. William “Tex” Culton officiating. Interment will follow at the Milford Union Cemetery in Milford, NJ.
