Carl F. Brown

Carl F. Brown, 94 of Westfield, NJ passed away on Saturday December 1, 2012 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ.

Born December 23, 1917 in Bethlehem, PA, Carl lived in Bayonne, NJ before moving to Westfield 47 years ago.

Carl graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA earning a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.A. in History and Government. He worked as a chemical engineer for Best Foods in Union, NJ for 41 years before retiring.

Carl was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Westfield, the Lehigh University Alumni Association and the American Oil Chemists Society.

Son of the late Charles and Lulu Stout Brown, Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Asem) Brown. He is also survived by his dear cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 4, 2012 at 12 noon at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow in East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton, NJ.
Visitation will also be Tuesday from 11 - 12 noon, prior to the service at the funeral home.
