Carol R. Rick, 82, of Ferndale, PA, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Phoebe Richland in Richlandtown, PA.   

Born April 18, 1942, in Mount Pleasant, NJ, Carol grew up in Milford, NJ, before moving to Ferndale, PA.  She attended Delaware Valley Regional High School in Frenchtown, NJ.  Carol was a bookkeeper at Riegel Paper Corporation in Milford, NJ for many years, prior to retiring from Thompson Toyota in Doylestown, PA.  She enjoyed baking, reading, the beach, and going to the casino.  Carol’s grandchildren were her world!

Daughter of the late Harold Virgil and Rena V. (Bidewell) Stickel, Carol is survived by her son Richard “Richie” Rick, her daughters Diana L. Bertnick, Michelle A. Rick and her husband Anthony, Denise K. Bryan and her husband Robert, and Christina M. Szabo and her husband Gregg, her brother Harold Stickel, her sister Linda Aspinall, her three grandchildren Morgan, Taylor, and Zachary, her two great-grandchildren Conrad and Scarlett, and her beloved dog Merlin.  Carol is predeceased by her husband Richard R. Rick in 1987, her brothers Joseph W. Stickel and Lester Stickel, and her sister Deborah Peterson. 

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ.  A Celebration of Carol’s Life will follow at 12:00 PM with Certified Life Celebrant Henry C. Taylor officiating.
