Carole Ann Heller Obituary

Carole Ann (Naylor) Heller, 83, of Milford, NJ, passed away with the enduring love of her family on Friday, December 12, 2025.

Born on April 4, 1942, in Camden, New Jersey, she was the youngest of seven siblings and grew up with a deep appreciation for family that remained central throughout her life. The annual Naylor family reunions in Dysart, PA were a cherished source of joy and laughter for Carole and her family, creating lasting memories for generations.

Carole is survived by her devoted husband, Robert W. Heller, Sr., the love of her life for more than 63 years. Their marriage was a rare and beautiful partnership rooted in devotion, respect, laughter, and shared purpose. Together, they built a life defined by love and service, raising a family, opening their home to countless children in need, and standing side by side through every joy and challenge. To their children and grandchildren, Carole was the steady North Star of the family, a constant source of guidance, comfort, and unconditional love. Her presence anchored the family, and her advice and warmth will continue to guide them in her absence.

Carole was happiest in the company of her large family, especially when they gathered at their farmhouse in Springville, PA, or at their cherished cottage in Promised Land, PA. She had a gift for making others feel at home, always ensuring that everyone was comfortable, cared for, and included. Carole’s compassion extended far beyond her own family. Alongside her husband, she fostered more than 20 babies and children who were in desperate need of love and stability. Their commitment eventually led to the adoption of their youngest child, Alexander. With her extensive experience as a foster parent, Carole went on to train prospective foster parents throughout New Jersey, often traveling to foster parent conferences nationwide.

Demonstrating her lifelong dedication to caring for others, Carole returned to school to earn her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree. She also enjoyed fixing up houses with her husband, serving as the family’s interior designer and transforming every space into a warm and welcoming home. Carole was always available to her children, offering unwavering support, guidance, and love. She is survived by her loving children: Michael of Naples, Florida; Ashley (Chip) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Robert Jr. (Vicky) of Phillipsburg; Patricia (Richard) of Stewartsville; Susan (Mark) of Alpha; and Alexander of Milford. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Russell, who was tragically taken from the family in 2023, as well as by her parents and fun-loving siblings.

Throughout her life, Carole volunteered generously within her community. She served as a Girl Scout Leader, PTA member, and as a Councilwoman in her town for over 20 years, where she was respected for her dedication, compassion, and commitment to public service. Carole Ann Heller will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She leaves a void in the hearts of her family that words cannot capture.
