Charles D. Chevalier Obituary

Charles Daniel Chevalier, 92, of Tinicum Township, PA passed away at home on Saturday May 23, 2009.

Born February 12, 1917, Charles was a life long resident of Tinicum Township. He worked at Trimmer Ferranti Stone Quarry in Pattenburg, NJ for over 20 years and prior to that, he had worked at the Riegel Paper Corp. in Milford, NJ. He retired in 1979. Charles was a member of the Moose Lodge in Sellersville, PA for over 30 years and was a member of the Marienstein Club in Upper Black Eddy.

He enjoyed camping, hunting, traveling, attending fire company breakfasts and dinners and he was a race fan. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Son of the late Charles and Mary (Davidson) Chevalier, Charles was predeceased by his beloved wife Meda I. Krial Chevalier (2004). He is survived by his daughter-in-law Ruth Chevalier of Upper Black Eddy, PA, his grandson Chris Chevalier and his wife Sherry of Upper Black Eddy, PA, granddaughter Kimberly Frankenfield of Phillipsburg, NJ and four great grandchildren, Cameron, Eric, Jamie and William. He was predeceased by his three sons Daniel, Roger and Doug.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 28, 2009 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd, Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow at Nockamixon Union Cemetery in Ferndale, PA. Visitation will be also be Thursday from 10 11AM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
