Charles Joseph Runge, 11, of Holland Township, NJ and Hillsborough, NJ passed away on Wednesday February 13, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township, PA.

Born April 17, 2001 in Raritan Township, NJ, Charlie lived in Holland Township, NJ and Hillsborough, NJ. He was a 6th grader at the Holland Township School and was an excellent student.
Charlie was active in sports and played D.V.A.A. little league, soccer and basketball. He enjoyed reading, especially mysteries, swimming, gardening with his father and fishing with his brothers. He enjoyed summer camp at the Riegel Ridge Community Center. Charlie was a kind and caring boy and was loved by many. He will be dearly missed by his beloved family and many friends.
Charlie was a member of St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church in Milford and the churchs youth group, he was also a member of Mary Mother of God R.C. Church in Hillsborough.

Charlie is survived by his loving parents Charles James Runge of Holland Township, NJ and Lydia Margaret Vencel of Hillsborough, NJ, paternal grandparents Charles F. and Rose Runge of Alexandria Township, NJ, two brothers Patrick Bessasparis of Ft. Bragg, NC and Sean Bessasparis of Hillsborough, NJ, his niece Audrinna Bessasparis and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Edward Vencel and Catherine Conelly and his step-mother Susan A. Nash.

Visitation / viewing will take place on Wednesday February 20, 2013 from 2 4 and 7 9 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday February 21, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Parish Center, across the street from the church, Rt. 519, Milford, NJ. Interment will be private.
