Cleo V. Griffith, 86, of Bethlehem Township, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born on December 4, 1923 in Coleman, TX, Cleo lived in Texas and the Frenchtown-Milford area for many years prior to moving to Bethlehem, PA. He served in the Texas National Guard prior to serving in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was honored with five bronze stars for his service. He worked as a truck driver for Chemical Leaman Tank Lines in Nazareth, PA, for over 30 years, retiring in 1983. Cleo was a former member of both the Milford Presbyterian Church and the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Orion Lodge #56 F&AM in Frenchtown, NJ, Milford VFW and 36th Division T-Patch. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Son of the late Wesley and Florence Griffith, Cleo is survived by his sons, Bobbie Wayne Griffith of Harrisville, PA, Ronald Floyd Griffith of Washington, NJ, Donald James Griffith of Bethlehem Township, PA, Wayne Douglas Griffith of Easton, PA, Vernon Charles Griffith of North Kingstown, RI, and Glenn Allan Griffith of Holland Township, NJ; 15 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Anna M. (Hummer) Griffith who passed away in 2006; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11 am at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township. Interment will follow at Milford Union Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
