Clifford "Chip" Hartpence Obituary

Clifford Chip Hartpence, 91, of Milford, NJ passed away on Sunday January 3, 2010 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born June 25, 1918 in Milford, NJ, Chip was a life long resident there. He graduated from Frenchtown High School in 1936 and he graduated from Ryder College in Trenton, NJ with a degree in business. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. Chip was a quality control supervisor at the Riegel Paper Corp. in Milford, NJ where he worked for over 40 years. He was a life long member of the Milford Presbyterian Church and he enjoyed tennis and golf.

Son of the late Harry and Bessie Hartpence, Chip is survived by his beloved wife Marie Agnew Hartpence, three daughters Karen Rummel and her husband Michael of Milford, Kristen VanRyper of Wilmington, DE and Kathleen Mould and her husband Christopher of Wycombe, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great granddaughters. He was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Petiet.

Services will be private. Interment will be in Milford Union Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Milford, NJ.
