Cynthia Louise Reilly, 81, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 21, 1944, in Easton, Massachusetts, Cynthia was the daughter of the late Leon Elmer Sault and Cynthia Louise Vosmus Sault. She dedicated her life to education and community service, retiring from Franklin Township Middle School where she served with compassion and commitment as a special education teacher.

Cynthia was a woman of deep faith and generous spirit. A devoted member of Alexandria First Presbyterian Church, she took part in several mission trips and extended her heart and hands to those in need. She also served as Chairman of the Board for the Hunterdon County Red Cross and played a key role in organizing the Special Olympics, reflecting her lifelong passion for helping others.

In her free time, Cynthia found joy in crocheting and decorating dollhouses, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, cherished sister, and treasured friend.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kevin Leon Reilly.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Reilly; her son, Sean Reilly and his wife Mayland; her daughter, Susanne Reilly; her sister, Jean Birdsall and husband Bob; her brother, Bud Sault and wife Sandy; and her grandchildren, Clark, MJ, Peter, and Janicia Reilly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 1pm at the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church, 141 Little York – Mt. Pleasant Road, Milford, NJ 08848. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, County Road 519, Alexandria Township, NJ.

Cynthia’s life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be forever cherished.
