Daniel Wilson Vanselous, 81, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday July 27, 2011 at his home.
Born July 7, 1930 in Milford, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He worked at the Riegel Paper Corp in Milford, NJ for 41 years before retiring. Daniel served for four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War Era. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Son of the late Daniel and Marion (Wilson) Vanselous , Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Kathleen A. Slavin Vanselous, four sons Michael Vanselous of Easton, PA, Daniel Vanselous of Indian Lake, NY, Dirk Vanselous of Riegelsville, PA, Dean Vanselous of Kintnersville, PA, two daughters Kelly Mencher of Flemington, NJ, and Shelly Price of Easton, PA, sister Jean Carver of Melbourne, FL, 12 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday July 30, 2011 at 10 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ, with the Reverend William Tex Culton officiating. Visitation will also be on Saturday morning from 9 10 AM prior to the service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
