David L. Ellis, 78, of Harmony Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus in Easton, PA.

Born on December 22, 1947, in Phillipsburg, NJ, David was a lifelong area resident. He attended Delaware Valley Regional High School, where he was a dedicated student-athlete, participating in wrestling, football, and track.

David worked for many years in quality control at TekniPlex, where he was known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail.

An avid outdoorsman, David had a deep appreciation for nature. He especially enjoyed hunting, with a passion for elk and caribou, as well as fishing whenever he could. He found great peace in sitting on his front porch, taking in the beauty of wildlife, often watching bobcats and bears pass through. In his younger years and beyond, David also enjoyed playing softball on travel and tournament teams, frequently traveling to Virginia to compete.

Above all, David cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Son of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Godown) Ellis, David is survived by his beloved partner of 25 years, Susan Laux, his son Jeffrey Ellis and his wife Misty, his daughter Kimberly (Ellis) Stein and her husband Tyler, and his four grandchildren Rylei, Cole, River, and Brody.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
