Diane S. Lutz, 78, of Milford NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ.

Born January 21, 1947, in Phillipsburg, NJ, Diane grew up in Frenchtown, NJ, before settling in Milford. She is a 1965 graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School in Frenchtown, NJ. Diane worked and retired as a Senior 911 Dispatcher for Hunterdon County Communications in Flemington, NJ. Following retirement, she was a realtor for Weichert Realtors in Phillipsburg, NJ. Diane was an esteemed member and President of the Milford-Holland Rescue Squad where she served the community with unwavering dedication for 48 years. Her passion for public safety inspired generations of volunteers, embodying the motto “service above self”. Diane’s legacy of kindness, resilience, and commitment will endure in every life touched by the Squad.

Diane was also a member of a card club with a close group of cherished friends for many years. Once a month the friends gather to share life’s joys and hardships.

Family was the most important part of Diane’s life, especially her five grandchildren, who were the lights of her life. She was an avid supporter of her children and grandchildren, attending all the sporting events and being there for every milestone throughout their lives.

Daughter of the late Joseph P. and Esther (Trout) Berger, Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Lutz, her two daughters Karen (Cyphers) Millets and her husband Jeffrey of Hellertown, PA, and Wendy (Cyphers) Brogan and her husband Robert of Holland Township, NJ, her sister Susan Schreck and her husband Joseph of Macungie, PA, her five grandchildren Tyler, Jacob, Nicholas, Madison, and Luke, as well as her beloved cats Eli and Maggie May. She was predeceased by her daughter Stephanie Cyphers.

Services will be private, as per Diane’s wishes. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
