Dixie Lee Kentopp, 85, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at her home. 

Born November 10, 1938 in Bennington, VT, Dixie met her beloved husband of 61 years, the late Eugene Robert Kentopp, in Doylestown, PA.  They lived in Ringoes, NJ, before moving to Flemington, NJ in 1968, where they would raise their family.  Dixie and her husband owned a mechanical business that became a family business.  She handled billing, ordering parts, speaking with customers, and could even be found picking up cars with the tow truck or cooking a meal for everyone, if needed.  In 1986, Dixie and Gene moved to Florida to enjoy warmer weather.  They would often travel back to New Jersey to visit with family and friends.      

Daughter of the late Henry Clay and Verlie M. (Sloan) Nelson, Dixie is survived by her four children Michael Kentopp, Lora Kentopp, Daniel Kentopp, and Linda Smith and her husband Greg, her eleven grandchildren, and over a dozen great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Eugene Robert Kentopp in 2020, her daughter Lisa Kentopp, and her five siblings Linda, Dale, Jim, John, and Henry.   

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 11 AM at the Venice Memorial Gardens in Venice, FL.  Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ.
