Donald P. Schaible, 67, of Alexandria Township, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday February 10, 2011 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born October 10, 1943 in Milford, NJ, Don lived in Frenchtown before moving to Alexandria Township over 25 years ago. He was the owner of Schaibles Barber Shop in Frenchtown for over 30 years and at one time was the owner of H&S C.B. Shop, also in Frenchtown. Don was a loving father and grandfather. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Don was a long time member of the Frenchtown Lions Club, the Frenchtown Island Club and the 309 Hunting Club in Potter County, PA. He will be dearly missed by his family, his community and his many loyal customers at the barber shop.

Son of the late Earl P. and Stella B. Schaible, Don is survived by his sons Robert D. of Easton, PA and Steven D. of Holland Township, NJ, brothers Peter of Annandale, NJ and Timothy of Bangor, PA, sister Maryetta Barbour of Crownsville, MD, three grandsons Robert, Jr., Steven and Eric and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Jean Robbinson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 15, 2011 at 9 AM from the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, Milford, NJ. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Milford Union Cemetery.
