Dr. Paul E. Kozak, VMD Obituary

Dr. Paul E. Kozak, VDM, 86, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on Sunday September 30, 2012 at his home.

Born January 13, 1926 in Pittston, PA, Paul lived in Fairfield, NJ and Pine Brook, NJ before moving to Holland Township in 1976. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinarian Medicine in Philadelphia, PA in 1956. Paul owned and practiced at the Caldwell Township Animal Hospital in Fairfield, NJ for over 50 years. He also was the owner of Old Dogwood Hill Farm in Holland Township, NJ. Paul was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was an active member of the Fairfield, NJ Kiwanis, at one time.

Son of the late Joseph and Anna Thomas Kozak, Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Edith Smith Kozak, four sons P. David Kozak of Phillipsburg, NJ, Peter Kozak of Holland Township, NJ, Mark Kozak of Califon, NJ and Glen Kozak of Floral Park, NY, two brothers John Kozak and Francis Kozak both of Long Island, NY, a sister Pauline Kozak of Pennsylvania and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 5, 2012 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 7 9 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hunterdon Humane Society, 576 Stamets Rd., Milford, NJ 08848.
