Eleanor Marie Hooper, 87, of Clinton Township, NJ, formerly of Holland Township passed away on Monday June 18, 2012 at the Rolling Hills Care Center in Clinton Township, NJ.

Born February 26, 1925 in Somerville, NJ, Eleanor lived in Phillipsburg, NJ and Upper Black Eddy, PA, before moving to Holland Township, NJ in 1968. She lived in Clinton Township for the past six years. Eleanor was a homemaker and had worked at Majors Department Store in Flemington, NJ. She was an active member of the Holland Presbyterian Church where she had served as a Deacon and sang in the choir.

Daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Opie Allen, Eleanors beloved husband Richard C. Hooper passed away in 2003. She is survived by her daughters Catherine Grossman of Hillsborough, NJ and Patti Schnitzer of Grants Pass, OR, sons Michael Hooper of Lower Saucon Twp., PA, Henry Hooper of Nazareth, PA, Robert Bradley of Somerville, NJ, Dennis Hooper and Richard Hooper, Jr. of Springfield, IL, her sisters Grace Terhune, Margaret Smith, Virginia Allen and Barbara Roe, five grandsons Barry, Matthew, Daniel, Richard and Ryan, three great grandchildren and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Patricia Ann Bradley, her sons Thomas and John Hooper and her brother William Allen.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 23, 2012 at 11 AM at the Holland Presbyterian Church, 302 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ with Pastor John Potter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will also be Saturday, at the church, from 10 11 AM prior to the service. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ.
