Eleanor H. Parker, 98, of Holland Township, NJ. passed away on Friday June 25, 2010 at the New Jersey Eastern Star Home in Bridgewater Township, NJ.
Born October 19,1911 in New York, NY, Eleanor lived in Nutley, New Jersey before moving to Holland Township in 1947 where she worked as a Teller at the First United Bank in Milford, NJ. for 30 years retiring in 1977.She was a very active member of the Frenchtown Order of the Eastern Star, Orion Chapter # 177 where she was a past Matron as well as a past New Jersey State Matron. Eleanor was an avid bowler who enjoyed and participated in the sport until the age of 90, she also had a passion for gardening. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Daughter of the late John and Martha Heeb, Eleanor is survived by her son Raymond J. Parker Jr. of Holland Township, three grandchildren Carol Grey of Texas, Janice Wenzel and husband William of Phillipsburg, NJ. and Raymond Parker III also of Phillipsburg, NJ and five great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving husband Raymond James Parker Sr. (1995) and a sister Beatrice Moore.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow in Milford Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
