Elena Molter, 95, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Complete Care at Brakeley Center in Lopatcong Township, NJ.

Elena was born on March 25, 1930 in Santa Ana, El Salvador. She met her beloved husband, Jack, on a bus in Paris, who was touring Europe after college. Elena worked as a bookkeeper for IPC of Fairfield, NJ. She loved reading history and was an avid gardener and quilter. Elena was an excellent cook and loved watching cooking shows. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Adolf and Carlotta (Coty) Davidson, Elena is survived by her two sons Carl Gustav Molter and his wife Elizabeth of Milford, NJ and Jack Erik Molter of Palmetto, FL, her daughter Alicia Schmitt and her longtime partner Len Scrivanich of Kennett Square, PA, her grandchildren Matthew, Rebecca, Annalise, Charlotte, Katelyn, and Peter, and her two great-grandchildren Molly and Addison. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jacob Molter in 2004, her son-in-law Brian Schmitt, her brother Adolfo ‘Fito’ Davidson, and her sister Thelma de Lopez.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family, with internment on June 14th at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
