Floyd D. Niece, 83, of Stockton, Delaware Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at the home he built for his family on Wednesday April 28, 2010, after a brief illness.
Born December 14, 1926 in Kingwood Township, NJ, Floyd was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County, NJ. He worked at Tredegar Corporation in Flemington, NJ for 35 years, retiring in 1990 as Plant Manager. He was a collector and restorer of antique clocks, an avid tool collector and an accomplished cabinet maker. He was a member of the Lehigh Valley Woodworkers Guild and Crafts of New Jersey.
Son of the late Percy B. and Millicent R. Niece, Floyd is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Florence Stoy Niece, three daughters Connie Felder and her husband Edward of Rochester, NY, Beverly Mason and her husband Richard of Mebane, NC and Jennifer Niece of Gilbertsville, PA. He will be missed by his loving grandchildren Elizabeth Mason of Houston, TX, Pamela Felder of Rochester, NY and Christopher Felder of Colorado Springs, CO.
A private memorial service will be held. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Milford, NJ 08848.
