Frank E. Heater, 67, of Alexandria Township, NJ, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born May 15, 1957 in Phillipsburg, NJ, Frank was raised in Alexandria Township, NJ, and enjoyed farming in his youth. After a brief residence in Frenchtown, NJ, he returned to settle in Alexandria Township. He graduated from Delaware Valley Regional High School in Frenchtown, NJ, in 1975. Frank worked as a mechanic at various Chevrolet dealerships, including Pastore Chevrolet in Frenchtown, NJ, and Mark Chevrolet in Whitehouse, NJ, before retiring from Royal Chevrolet in Bridgewater, NJ. He was a member of the Clinton Elks and was a past member of the pool league. Frank enjoyed racing and restoring cars. He participated in both Enduro and Street Stock racing.
Son of the late Stewart and Mary (Case) Heater, Frank is survived by his two brothers Roy Heater of Pohatcong Township, NJ, and Wayne Heater and his wife Marilyn of Readington Township, NJ, and his sister Doris Autenrieth and her husband John of Alexandria Township, NJ. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Mike, Amy, Joe, Nick, Andy, and Marybeth. Frank was predeceased by his two brothers Stewart (Sonny) Heater and Gary Heater.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a viewing on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM with Rev. William “Tex” Culton officiating. Interment will take place immediately following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
