Frank McCollick, Jr., 88, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2009 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born February 6, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA, Frank lived in Upper Black Eddy, PA and Mt. Pleasant, NJ before moving to Holland Township, NJ 57 years ago. Frank graduated from Frenchtown High School in 1939 and was valedictorian. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. and was a veteran of WWII. He worked at the Riegel Paper Corp. in Milford, NJ, as an engineer for many years. Frank was an elder at the Holland Presbyterian Church for many years. He was a Grand Master Mason at the Masonic Lodge in Phillipsburg, NJ. Frank was a member of the Warren County Beagle Club and raised champion beagles. He enjoyed the outdoors.

Son of the late Frank and Jenny Opdyke McCollick, Sr., Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Grace Hammerstone McCollick, three daughters Eileen Brown of Holland Township, Cathleen Collett and her husband Joseph of Alpha, NJ and Carol Doeringer of Phillipsburg, NJ, two sisters Leona Dipple and June Sheetz, two grandchildren Jason and Hannah Collett.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday Sept. 12, 2009 at 11 AM at the Holland Presbyterian Church, 302 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. A viewing will also be at the church, from 10 11 AM, prior to the service Interment, with military honors, will follow at Greenwich Cemetery in Greenwich Township, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home in Milford, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holland Presbyterian Church Scholarship Fund.
