Freda Pursell, 83, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on Friday December 18, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 12, 1926 in Milford, NJ, Freda was a lifelong resident of the Milford, Holland Township area. She graduated from Frenchtown High School. She was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and being with her family. She really enjoyed her home. Freda was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Daughter of the late Walter and Rose Pursell, Fredas beloved husband Harry J. Doc Pursell passed away in 1983. She is survived by her son Douglas R. Pursell and his wife Lynn of Milford, NJ, four daughters Jean R. Shea and her husband Richard of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Debra K. French and her husband Harry of Phillipsburg, Connie M. Wilson and her husband Steven of Holland Township, and Michele A. Moore and her husband Keith of Greencastle, PA, her brother Francis Pursell of Milford, NJ, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Russell Roundy Pursell, who died in WWII and her beloved dog, Duke.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 22, 2009 at 10 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ with the Reverend Jim DeVries officiating. Interment will follow in the Holland Cemetery. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 9 10 AM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
