George F. Butler, Jr., 70, of Clinton Township, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Rolling Hills Care Center in Clinton Township, NJ. Born in Raritan Township, NJ, George was a lifelong resident of Milford, NJ. He was a 1973 graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School. George worked in the Parts Department at Timmerman Equipment in Whitehouse, NJ. He lived and breathed racing and always showed up to every race for his brother and his nephews. George was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and was involved in a bowling league at Frenchtown Lanes. He was known for his kindness and willingness to help others and leaves behind a loving family and friends who will forever cherish his memory. George’s family carries forward his legacy of kindness, determination, and love. Son of the late George F. Butler, Sr., and Betty M. (Heinze) Butler, George is survived by his sisters Linda Applegate of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Lori Zangli of Upper Black Eddy, PA; his brother Gary Butler and his wife Margret of Phillipsburg, NJ; nieces Amanda, Caitlyn, Allyson, and Emma; nephews Kristopher, Cale, and Jack; great-nephews Hunter and Hank; and a large extended racing family. The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 6 to 8 PM, at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 26 at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Life Celebrant Henry C. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Frenchtown Cemetery in Frenchtown, NJ.
