Georgia Pierson, born Harold George Pierson, Jr., was the embodiment of passion, spirit, and heart. She was a proud land surveyor with licenses to practice in three separate states, a West Virginia Mountaineer alumni through and through, father and number one fan to her son Harold George Pierson, III.

Georgia was the eldest child of Nancy Lee and Harold Pierson. Georgia is survived by both of her siblings, brother Cory Pierson and sister Sally Reagan as well as her son Harold, “Harry,” George Pierson, III. Georgia’s first marriage was to Michelle Vanselous, whom was Georgia’s soul mate and lifelong friend. Together they raised Harry to be the man he is today. Georgia’s second marriage was to Jose Oscar Tosado who passed last April. Georgia was also a stepmother to Oscar’s only son Alexius Tranberg. One of her most redeeming qualities was her commitment to and passion for family.

Georgia was a person that broke boundaries and wasn’t afraid to do what was right. She was a rebel born into the hippie revelation. She loved the natural world and could often be found embracing it. Georgia was a person of love and cherished living in the moment and dancing, especially dancing. Georgia danced her way through making a mark on everyone’s life and day. George reborn as Georgia in the early 2000s gave hope to people around her. Georgia lives among us; in the crash of the ocean along the dunes of the cape, in the music she is dancing along, and among the birds she is calling out to us. Her message is to be free.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
