Gilbert R. Elky, 59, of Milford, NJ passed away on Wednesday September 5, 2012 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born March 18, 1953 in Doylestown, PA, Gilbert lived in Upper Black Eddy, PA and Emmaus, PA for many years before moving to Milford, NJ three years ago. He graduated from Palisades High School in 1971 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. Gilbert worked as a truck mechanic and was most recently employed by Custom Diesel in Allentown, PA.

Son of the late John and Eleanor Sellers Elky, Gilbert is survived by his son, Brian Elky of Quakertown, PA, daughter, Corrina Kenny of Lehighton, PA, brother, Matthew Elky of Maryland, sister, Pamela Elky of Milford, NJ, and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Warren Elky in 2011.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
