Hildegard L. Assheuer, 95, of Lopatcong Township, NJ, passed away on Friday August 5, 2011 at the Brakely Park Center in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born June 26, 1916 in Deckenpfronn, Germany, Hildegard lived in Somerville, NJ before moving to Holland Township in 1975. She worked at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, NJ for 20 years as a Secretary prior to moving to the United States she worked in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Hildegard was a member of the Milford Senior Citizens, she loved gardening and reading.

Daughter of the late Wilhelm and Louise (Binder) Aichele , Hildegard is survived by her cousin Margaret Wise of Ohio and two nephews, Siegfried and Juergen Aichele in Germany. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Erich Assheuer (2008)

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday August 16, 2011 at 9 AM at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Alexandria Township, NJ, with the Reverend William Tex Culton officiating.
