Janice Turenne, of Alexandria Township, New Jersey, passed away on July 8, 2026, in Flemington, New Jersey.
Jan is survived by her devoted husband, Edmond; her sons, Douglas Parry and Robert Parry; her stepdaughters, Laurie Kolpan and Nicole Payton; her sisters, Marsha Rezner, Joan Butler, and Nancy MacFarlane; and the true joy of her life, her ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished beyond measure.
Jan dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a school nurse with the Alpha School District in Warren County, New Jersey. She was known for her compassion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of the students and families she served throughout her career.
Following her retirement, Jan continued her lifelong commitment to helping others by volunteering at the Hunterdon Cancer Center. Inspired by her own courageous battle with breast cancer, she found great purpose in offering comfort, encouragement, and hope to those facing similar journeys.
A woman of deep faith, Jan was an active member and longtime deacon at Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, where she faithfully served her church family for many years. Her generosity, gentle spirit, and willingness to lend a helping hand touched the lives of many.
Jan found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved curling up with a good book, spending time swimming, and making treasured memories during trips to the beach. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable pride and joy, and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by those she loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 1:00 p.m. at Frenchtown Presbyterian Church. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Jan’s life and the many ways she touched those around her.
