John M. Bauer, 60, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on November 16, 2010 at his home.
Born May 28, 1950 in Clinton, NJ, John lived in Kingwood Township before moving to Holland Township in 1984. He worked for the Hunterdon County Soil District in Franklin Township, NJ for nine years, prior to that he worked for Johnson and Johnson in Raritan Township, Lifestyle of the 80s Construction Co. and Bohren & Bohren Surveyors in Flemington, NJ. John was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a craftsman and enjoyed leather working, gunsmithing and furniture building. He was a member of the Kingwood United Methodist Church, a field representative for the National Muzzle Loader Rifle Association and an active member of the NJ Rangers and other re-enactment groups. John was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Kathleen Delaney Bauer, his mother Mildred Smithers Bauer of Frenchtown, NJ, three daughters Sara Bauer of Delaware Water Gap, PA, Laura Gleichenhaus and her husband John of Alpha, NJ and Jessica Bauer of Holland Township, NJ and his sister Joyce Hanley of Chester Springs, PA. He was predeceased by his father, Henry Bauer and his brother, Henry Buck Bauer.
A Celebration of Johns Life will be held on Sunday November 21, 2010 at 2 PM at the Kingwood United Methodist Church, 257 Rt. 519, Kingwood Township, NJ with the Reverend Sue Moore officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ.
