John W. Burdzy Obituary

John Walter Burdzy, 58, of Alexandria Township, NJ passed away on July 18, 2012 at his home.

Born July 22, 1953 in Passaic, NJ, John lived in Clifton, NJ before moving to Alexandria Township in 1991. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Bloomfield College and an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickenson University. He was an analytical chemist, most recently at Johnson and Johnson in Morris Plains, NJ. He had worked for Pfizer Inc. in Parsippany, NJ for 30 years and prior to that, at Penick Chemical Co. in Lyndhurst, NJ. John was of the catholic faith. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hiker. John was a food enthusiast, and collected recipes and loved trying new things. He will be dearly missed by his beloved family.

John was a member of the American Chemical Society.

Son of the late Walter and Stephanie Burdzy, John is survived by his beloved wife Elisa L. Fox Burdzy, sister Monica Reynolds and her husband Robert of Randolph, NJ, mother in law Frances Fox of Ringwood, NJ and his God son Daniel Reynolds of Randolph, NJ.

Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church in Milford, NJ. Interment will follow in Milford Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 23, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
