John T. Miller, 81, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.


Born March 4, 1944 in Upper Black Eddy, PA, John lived there before moving to Holland Township, NJ in 1970. He graduated from Palisades High School in 1962. John worked for JCP&L for 33 years. He started as a lineman and worked his way up to crew leader. Prior to working for JCP&L, John worked as a mechanic at Milford Atlantic Automotive. He was a lifelong motorcyclist and could be seen regularly riding on his Harley Davidson. He loved Nascar, fishing and was an excellent craftsman. A man of many talents, he had the ability to fix almost anything and would help anyone at any time. You couldn’t find a better husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and neighbor. The children in his life were a top priority and he was always there for them. John was known for his kind and friendly disposition and will be dearly missed. He was a member of Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church.


Son of the late Herbert and Josephine (Sciss) Miller, John is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Linda L. (Cochran) Miller, his daughter Kelly Walling and her husband Steven of Red Bank, NJ, his three sisters Joyce Schuler, Betty Jane Povelko, and Mary Seal. His three grandchildren Steven, Jenna, and Dylan were his pride and joy. He was predeceased by his brother Herbert Miller, Jr.


The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 11 AM – 12 PM at the Johnson- Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Celebration of John’s Life will follow at 12 PM, with Pastor Linda Bullock officiating.
