John Frank Trafnik, 68, passed away on Wednesday June 22, 2011 at his residence in Frenchtown, NJ.
Born July 22, 1942 in Frenchtown, NJ., John lived in Flemington, before returning to Frenchtown in 1973 with his wife Sandra to whom he wed in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was an active member of the American Legion Post 113 in Frenchtown, NJ. He worked for the Thomas J. Lipton Company in Flemington for 27 years before retiring in 1995. John was an avid sports fan he also enjoyed camping. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife Sandra (Marlatt) Trafnik, his daughter Nicole Marie Trafnik of Palmer Twp. PA., a son Christopher Hamilton Trafnik of Bath, PA. , Sisters Barbara J. Ivins of Bayville, NJ , Carol ODay of Flemington, NJ and three grandchildren Jonathan, Nicolas and Olivia. He was predeceased by his parents John and Barbara (Kopf) Trafnik and son John Thomas Trafnik (1969)

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 25, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road., Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will be on Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Hospice Inc. 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ. 08822 or to Frenchtown Emergency Medical Services 2nd St. Frenchtown, NJ 08825 Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home 24 Church road. Holland Township, NJ.
