Joseph Januzis Obituary

Joseph Januzis, 73, of Alexandria Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, New Jersey.

Born on May 15, 1953, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Joseph was a devoted husband, dad, loyal friend, and faithful member of his community. He dedicated more than 40 years of his career to Maidenform, where he worked in the office and served as the president of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU) Local 20. He earned the respect and friendship of his colleagues through his dedication, dependable nature and outspokenness.

Joseph found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and embraced the freedom of the open road. He cherished relaxing days at the beach, exploring local wineries, and sharing a glass of wine with those he loved. His faithful dog, Beau, was a constant companion who brought him endless happiness.

A devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church, Joseph's faith was an important part of his life. While he enjoyed many hobbies, nothing meant more to him than spending time with his family and friends. Whether gathering for holidays, celebrating special occasions, or simply enjoying each other's company, Joseph treasured every moment with those he loved. He will be remembered for his warm heart, big presence and the genuine care he showed to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Joseph leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Son of late Joseph and Catherine (Romanowsky) Januzis, Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Nadine (Callahan) Januzis, his two daughters Jennifer Januzis and her husband Bogdan Protyniak of Stroudsburg, PA and Natalie Beckmann and her husband Adam of Moorestown, NJ, and his sister Geraldine Abramchak of Pittstown, NJ.  He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Peter Abramchak.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM at St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church, 61 Mill Street, Milford, NJ.
