Joseph JoeLoreti, 82, of Lopatcong Township, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday October 27, 2012 surrounded by his family.
Born October 10, 1930 in Scranton, PA, Joe was a graduate of Synder High School in Jersey City, NJ and The Kings College in Briarcliff Manor NY. He received his Master of Music Education degree from The College of New Jersey. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War where he was in the band assigned to the USS Essex. He taught music in the Summit Public Schools for 34 years, retiring in 1992. Joe was a freelance trumpeter and teacher, retiring from all professional trumpet playing and teaching in 1994. After moving from North Plainfield to Stewartsville, he enjoyed golfing and bowling as his leisure activities. Married for 58 years Joe was the beloved husband of Loraine (Havens) Loreti and the devoted father of four children and 10 grandchildren who will be dearly missed by his family.
Son of the late Phyliss and Anedeo Loreti Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Loraine, two daughters Cindy Loreti Cullen and husband Michael , their children, Alex Lawton, Josh and Kerri Cullen and Mary Loreti Graves and husband Jeffrey , their children AJ, Vanassa and Justin Graves, two sons, David and his wife Patricia and their children Tony and Joey Loreti and Stephen and his wife Sally and her two children, Noah and Kiley Fusco. He is also survived by a sister Lydia Lombardi of Venice, FL. and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 6, 2012 at 10 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Milford (Holland Township), NJ 08848. Interment will follow in Saint James Lutheran Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NJ. Visitation will be on Monday November 5, 2012 from 7-9 PM
