Judith “Judy” L. Clausen, 81, of Upper Black Eddy, Tinicum Township, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at her home.
Born January 2, 1944 in Easton, PA, Judy grew up in Upper Black Eddy, PA, in what is now known as the Homestead General Store. She graduated from Palisades High School in 1961. Judy then married her high school sweetheart, Bob, in 1963. She was a homemaker. Judy also worked as a real estate secretary for Tohickon Real Estate and Strout Realty in Pipersville, PA. She was an avid bowler for many years, and bowled in leagues at the Frenchtown Bowling Alley. Ceramics and knitting were her longtime hobbies. Judy enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and was an avid fan of Elvis. A woman of strong faith, Judy was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Milford, NJ.
Daughter of the late John and Ethel (Whitman) Singley, Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert A. Clausen, her son Robert Clausen, Jr. and his wife Amy, her two daughters Tracy Snyder and her husband Keith and Christine Pelanne and her husband Kevin, her five grandchildren Tiffani, Seth, Cory, Kendra, and Samantha, and her ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Eugene Singley and her sister Patsy Shafer.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 10-11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Celebration of Judy’s Life will follow at 11 AM with Reverend Todd Fennell officiating. Interment will follow at the Upper Tinicum Cemetery in Tinicum Township, PA.
