Katherine Balogh, age 95, of Holland Twp., NJ passed away on December14, 2025 at Abington Manor in Easton, PA.

Kate was born on March 1, 1930 to the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Torok) Knoll in Pittstown, NJ, where she spent most of her childhood and graduated from Frenchtown High School in 1948. After graduating, Kate worked for The Hunterdon County National Bank in Flemington, NJ.

In 1953 Kate married Joseph Balogh and they built a life together on the Balogh family farm that Joe and his brother Jim operated in Holland Twp., raising cows. Kate loved animals and enjoyed the farm life. After giving up the farm, Joe went on to work at the Riegel Paper Mill and Kate worked for Koh-I-Noor pen and pencil factory in Bloomsbury for 25 years. Upon Joe’s passing, Kate retired and volunteered at the Hunterdon Medical Center thrift store where she knitted blankets for the newborns there.

Kate is survived by her nephew, Charles Balogh, Jr. and his wife, Audrey, of Holland Twp., NJ; her niece, Brenda Gober and her husband, Dan, of Haycock Twp. PA; nephew, Jeff Campbell and his wife, Carol, of Phillipsburg, NJ; nephew, Roddy Campbell of Alpha, NJ; niece, Trudy Kerr of Phillipsburg, NJ; niece, Patricia Shea and her husband, Al, of Holland Twp.; nephew, William Runge and his wife, Mary, of Holland Twp.; brother-in-law, Barry Campbell of Alexandria Twp. She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her late husband Joseph, Kate is predeceased by her sister, Vilma Campbell and sister-in-law Rose Runge.

A private family service will be held at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, NJ.
