Katherine M. (Thatcher) Wisniewski, 89, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on Monday May 2, 2011 at Country Arch Care Center in Pittstown, NJ.

Born July 26, 1921 in Beloit, Wisconsin, Katherine was raised in Milford, NJ and was a graduate of Frenchtown High School, Class of 1939. She moved to Riegelsville, NJ in 1968 where she resided for over 45 years with her beloved husband the late Joseph Wisniewski (2003). Katherine was a co-owner and manager of Cyphers Sweet Shop in Riegelsville, PA as well as a homemaker. At one time she worked at the Riegel Paper Corporation Laboratory in Milford, NJ as a technician as well as at the Shell Development Laboratory in San Francisco during World War II. Katherine was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Riegelsville, PA. post # 956 also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and attended Saint Johns Evangelical Reformed Church in Riegelsville, PA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Daughter of the late Catherine (Markley) and John P. Thatcher , Katherine is survived by daughters Bonnie K. Pyne de Portillo of Baptistown, NJ and Linda J. Raike and her husband Dennis of Holland Twp. , brother John P. Thatcher III of Sarasota, FL. , seven Grandchildren , eleven Great- Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Robert and Harold Thatcher and her sister Gloria Walker.

A Graveside Memorial service will be held on Saturday May 7, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Riegelsville Union Cemetery Church St. in Riegelsville, PA with Pastor Janice Newhard officiating.
