Keith S. Erwin, Sr., of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the age of 94. 

Keith was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on October 12, 1929 to parents William Erwin and Meryl (Stevens) Erwin.  He moved with his parents to Little York, NJ as a child.  Keith later lived in Holland Township.  He graduated from Frenchtown High School, where he played baseball and basketball.  Keith married Dorothy Fleming in 1949.

Keith was a farmer for 4 years.  He was then a building contractor with Blessing and Erwin for 31 years, building over 100 homes and a 74 unit apartment complex. 

Keith was a member of the Alexandria Township Board of Education for 12 years.  He was also a member of the NJ Builders Association for over 30 years.  Keith was a member of the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church for 82 years where he was an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and sang in the choir for 64 years, where he met his wife.

After retiring, Keith enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, traveling the country with his wife, summers in their cottage on Lake Ontario, and spending time with family.

Keith was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy in 2018, and his daughter Phylis Kinney in 1999.  He is survived by his daughter LuAnn Keefe and her husband Patrick, his son Keith Erwin, Jr. and his wife Michele, his son Kevin Erwin and his wife Jean, his daughter Kelly Hines and her husband Tom, his sister Iva Weeast, his 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 11 AM at the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church, 141 Little York-Mount Pleasant Road, Milford, NJ, with Pastor Nick Hatch officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
