Kenneth Forbes Stuart Hendry, 75 of Kingwood Township, passed away on Monday May 16, 2011 at the Hunterdon Medical Center.
Born May 18, 1935 in Scotland, United Kingdom, Kenneth traveled to America with his family when he was 14 years of age settling in Princeton, NJ.
He was a graduate of The Hun School in Princeton, NJ and later graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, PA. ,he served in the U.S. Army during peacetime. Kenneth moved to Kingwood Township in 1971.
He was the owner of Atkinsons Foreign Car Service in Hopewell, NJ. Kenneth loved cars and was an excellent mechanic who spoke German fluently and was known for his great sense of humor.
Son of the late George Stuart and Sheila (Cowie) Hendry, Kenneth is survived by his x-wife June Hauck, daughter Hollis Mitchell and her husband Stephen of Kingwood Township his son Christian Hendry of Milford, NJ. a brother Alan Hendry and three grandchildren Andrew Hendry, Gavin and Maximilian Mitchell.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday May 21, 2011 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ with Pastor Patrick Johnson officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10 to 11 AM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
